Privacy Policy

This website (smasventure.ae) is operated by SMAS Venture FZE LLC (“SMAS Venture”, “we”, “us”), a company licensed in the United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

We process personal data in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the PDPL) and other applicable UAE laws.

• Details you give us: when you send an enquiry or book a consultation, we collect your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your company, phone number, the service you are interested in, your preferred date and time, your message and your language.
• Technical data: when you submit a form we record your IP address to protect the form against spam and abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security.
• Analytics data: only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type and approximate location (city or country). See our Cookie Policy.
• Our free calculators run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us or stored.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data through this website. Please do not include it in your message.

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange your consultation and prepare a proposal. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
• To understand how visitors use the site and improve it, but only with your consent (analytics cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
• To keep the site and our forms secure and to prevent fraud and spam.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, for example record-keeping and, where we take you on as a client, customer due diligence under UAE anti-money laundering rules.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

• Our website and email hosting provider, which stores the site, our enquiry database and our mailboxes.
• Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Professional advisers, auditors or insurers where reasonably necessary.
• Government authorities, courts or regulators where we are required to by law.

Each provider may only use your data to provide its service to us and must keep it secure and confidential.

Some of our service providers, including Google and our hosting provider, may store or process data on servers outside the UAE. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under the PDPL, such as the provider’s contractual commitments to protect the data to an adequate standard.

• Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
• Client records: for as long as UAE law requires. For accounting and tax records this is generally at least seven years after the end of the relevant period.
• Analytics data: kept in Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
• Security logs: kept for a short period, normally no longer than 90 days.

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Database credentials are kept outside the public web folder, access to enquiries is limited to staff who need it, and our forms are protected against spam and repeated submissions.

Under the PDPL you have the right to:

• receive information about, and a copy of, the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
• have your data erased where we no longer need it or have no lawful basis to keep it;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• receive your data in a structured, commonly used format and ask us to transfer it;
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example by changing your choice in Cookie settings.

To exercise any right, email info@smasventure.ae. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.

This website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
