Audit & Assurance

Many UAE companies must have their financial statements audited every year, and under Corporate Tax rules some must file audited statements with their return. 01

Faster audits

Organised files mean shorter fieldwork and fewer back-and-forth queries.

02

Lower audit fees

Auditors spend less time fixing records, which keeps fees down.

03

Fewer surprises

Issues are found and corrected before the auditor sees them.

04

Deadlines met

Licence renewals and tax filings are not held up waiting for audit reports.

01Audit requirements for UAE businesses

Audit obligations come from several directions. The Commercial Companies Law requires most mainland companies to appoint an auditor, free zone authorities commonly require audited accounts before renewing a licence, and the Corporate Tax framework requires audited financial statements from larger businesses and Qualifying Free Zone Persons.

Banks, investors and prospective buyers will also often ask for audited figures, even when the law does not.

02Independence comes first

An audit is only valuable if the auditor is independent. That is why we do not issue audit opinions ourselves. Instead, we focus on what makes audits go well: complete, reconciled books and clear supporting files.

We then coordinate with an independent licensed auditor of your choice, or introduce one approved by your free zone, and manage the practical side of the engagement for you.

03What audit-ready really means

Audit-ready books have every bank account reconciled, receivables and payables supported by statements, fixed assets and inventory physically verified, and year-end adjustments documented. We work through a structured checklist so nothing is left for the auditor to find.

  1. 1

    Assess

We confirm your audit obligations and agree a timeline.

  2. 2

    Prepare

Books are cleaned up and audit schedules prepared.

  3. 3

    Coordinate

We appoint or brief the auditor and manage fieldwork and queries.

  4. 4

    Close

Audited statements are finalised and submitted where required.

Most mainland companies such as LLCs are required to appoint an auditor under the Commercial Companies Law, and most free zone authorities require audited accounts for licence renewal. Under Corporate Tax rules, businesses with revenue above AED 50 million and Qualifying Free Zone Persons must also prepare audited financial statements.
