Corporate Tax

Registering and filing are only part of Corporate Tax. The bigger savings and risks sit in the decisions around them: how your group is structured, whether a Free Zone entity qualifies for 0%, which income is exempt, how losses are used and whether Small Business Relief is worth electing. As your Corporate Tax consultant, we advise on these choices before they are made and stay with you through the year on an advisory retainer.

01

Advice before decisions

Structures, contracts and elections are reviewed before they lock in a tax result.

02

Protect the 0% rate

Free Zone entities are monitored so they keep meeting QFZP conditions.

03

Use every relief

Exemptions, group relief and losses are applied where the law allows.

04

Clean financial statements

Current and deferred tax are calculated and presented correctly.

01Structuring and Free Zone status

The way your companies are owned and where they are licensed affects how much tax the group pays. A Free Zone entity can pay 0% on qualifying income, but only if it keeps adequate substance, prepares audited financial statements and stays within the de minimis limits for non-qualifying revenue.

We review your structure, intercompany flows and contracts, and monitor Free Zone entities during the year so their status is not lost by accident.

02Exempt income, groups and losses

Dividends and capital gains from qualifying shareholdings can be exempt. Companies with high common ownership can form a tax group and file one return, or use relief for transfers of assets and losses within a qualifying group.

These reliefs come with conditions and time limits. We test eligibility, document the position and make sure elections are made on time.

03An adviser through the year

Corporate Tax questions rarely wait for year end: a new contract, a property purchase, a loan between related companies or a change of shareholders can all affect your tax.

An advisory retainer gives you a Corporate Tax consultant to call on as decisions arise, backed by a team that also knows your books.
