VAT
VAT advice on complex transactions, place of supply and Designated Zones, plus readiness for UAE e-invoicing under the Peppol-based 5-corner model.

VAT at 5% looks simple until a transaction crosses a border, passes through a Designated Zone or bundles goods and services together. At the same time, the UAE is moving to mandatory e-invoicing, with a phased rollout starting 2026, which will change how invoices are issued, exchanged and reported. We advise on the VAT treatment of your transactions and prepare your systems and data for e-invoicing, so both are right before the FTA sees them.
Correct VAT treatment
Each type of transaction has a documented, defensible VAT position.
Ready before the deadline
Your e-invoicing project is planned around the phase that applies to you.
Clean invoice data
Master data and VAT codes are fixed before they flow into e-invoices.
Fewer surprises
Errors that e-invoicing would expose are corrected in advance.
In-depth guide
01VAT advice on real transactions
The hardest VAT questions come from real deals: services to overseas customers, goods shipped between zones, bundled supplies, discounts and agency arrangements. The place of supply rules decide whether VAT is charged at 5%, zero-rated or outside scope.
We review contracts and flows, give a written VAT position and update your invoicing and tax codes to match.
02Preparing for e-invoicing
Under the Peppol-based 5-corner model, invoices are exchanged as structured data through Accredited Service Providers rather than as PDFs, and tax data is shared with the FTA. Your systems need to produce complete, correctly formatted data for every invoice and credit note.
We assess your ERP or accounting system, map invoice fields to the required data, and help you select and onboard an Accredited Service Provider.
03Fix the data before it is reported
E-invoicing gives the FTA near real-time visibility of your invoices. Wrong customer TRNs, incorrect VAT codes and inconsistent product data become visible much faster.
As a bookkeeping-first firm, we clean master data and test VAT logic before go-live, so your first e-invoices are accurate.

The supplier sends invoice data through its Accredited Service Provider to the buyer’s Accredited Service Provider over the Peppol network, and the relevant tax data is reported to the FTA. The fifth corner is the FTA receiving that data.
