VAT

When your recoverable input VAT is higher than the VAT on your sales, the difference is a credit you can ask the FTA to pay back. Refund requests attract close scrutiny, so we prepare each claim with reconciled figures, valid tax invoices and clear supporting schedules that answer the FTA’s questions before they are asked.

01Why businesses end up in a refund position

Exporters, zero-rated suppliers and companies in heavy investment phases often pay more VAT on costs than they charge on sales. Large one-off purchases such as property fit-outs or equipment can also create a credit.

That credit is your money. Leaving it unclaimed, or claiming it badly, ties up cash your business could be using.

02What the FTA looks for

The FTA checks that each input tax claim is backed by a valid tax invoice or customs document, relates to taxable business activity and appears correctly in your filed returns.

We test a sample of your purchases the way an auditor would, fix gaps, and present the claim with a clear reconciliation from ledger to return.

03Refunds for UAE nationals and foreign businesses

UAE nationals building a new residence for themselves can recover VAT paid on eligible construction costs. Claims require specific documentation, which we help gather and organise.

Foreign businesses that incur UAE VAT, have no place of establishment here and meet reciprocity conditions may also recover it. We guide them through eligibility and submission.
