VAT
Correct past VAT errors the right way, before the FTA finds them, and reduce the penalties that follow.

Mistakes in filed VAT returns happen: a missed invoice, an incorrect rate or a wrongly claimed expense. If an error changes the tax due by more than AED 10,000, the law requires a voluntary disclosure; smaller errors can usually be corrected in the next return. Disclosing before the FTA contacts you significantly lowers penalties, and we make sure the disclosure is accurate and complete.
Lower penalties
Penalties are reduced when errors are disclosed before an FTA audit notice.
Peace of mind
Close known issues instead of waiting for them to surface.
Accurate filings
Each correction is supported by reconciliations and documents.
Stronger controls
We fix the process that caused the error, not just the number.
In-depth guide
01Where errors usually come from
Common causes include reverse charge entries left out of returns, VAT claimed on blocked expenses, incorrect zero-rating of exports without evidence, and sales recorded in the wrong period.
Many of these surface during a change of accountant, a Corporate Tax review or a refund request. Finding them early gives you control over how they are corrected.
02Disclosure or adjustment?
The AED 10,000 test is applied to the tax difference, not the transaction value. We calculate it carefully for each error and period, because the answer decides which correction route the law requires.
Where a disclosure is needed, we prepare clear explanations and schedules the FTA can follow without further questions.
03Preventing a repeat
A disclosure fixes the past. We also review the controls, tax codes and checklists that allowed the error, and update them.
